Easy Fall Decorating Ideas

Easy Fall Decorating Ideas

Fall is my favorite season, but it often feels like an afterthought. The trees are turning, the weather is cooling down, and you can't really go wrong with cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice everything. But if you're anything like me, you may be looking for some easy ways to get into the spirit of fall without having to dive headfirst into a full-on decorating project. Luckily for us all: fall decorating doesn't have to be hard! Here are six simple ways to bring the season indoors:

Bring in the fall vibe by adding a few pumpkins to your dining table

Fall is a time for celebrating the harvest, so it's only natural to bring in the fall vibe by adding a bowl of fresh apples or a few pumpkins to your dining table. For best results, look for heirloom varieties that are perfect for cooking and eating. Some of our favorites include Pink Lady and Granny Smith apples, as well as Sugar Pie pumpkin. To keep them fresh through December, store them at room temperature until you're ready to use them; if you have space in your refrigerator or freezer (or want to invest in one), that's also an option!

Once you've collected all your ingredients, make some apple cider from scratch with this simple recipe:

  • Wash 2 gallons of apples thoroughly and pat dry with paper towels; remove cores with an apple corer (or quarter using an apple peeler). Place cored/peeled apples into a large stock pot and add 1 cup white sugar per gallon of cider mixture—the ratio depends on how sweet you want your cider! Whisk together cider mixture over medium-high heat until boiling point is reached (this should take about 20 minutes). Skim off foam as needed until no more appears on top of pan juices after 10 minutes or so (discard foam once removed).

To finish off this project like true fall enthusiasts do—by making pies! Here's how:

Seashells as Fall decorations

If you like to collect seashells during summer, you can use them for fall decorations too.

Use them as a centerpiece. Create an arrangement by placing the shells in an interesting bowl or basket and adding your favorite fall flowers or fruit. You could also arrange them on driftwood or twigs to create a different look!

Add them to table settings. Whether it's a dinner party or family dinner, seashells make great accents at any meal! They're especially nice paired with pumpkins and gourds because they'll bring out their natural colors while still being seasonal decor pieces themselves!

Use them for fall crafts. You can paint the shells with acrylic paint so that they match your decorating scheme, glue some small leaves onto each one so they feel more like part of nature instead of just being pretty decorations on their own (a little extra work but worth it!). They also make great photo frames when placed inside metal frames because of how beautiful photos look through those types of materials - plus if you get bored then just change out some photos here and there until something else catches your eye again! This is especially fun if children want pictures taken every day/night but don't want anything fancy since these are easy ways we've found where everyone feels good about having their picture taken too :)

Textured kitchen towels in earthy tones make it feel like Fall

  • Use a natural fiber like cotton or linen.

  • Choose a neutral color for your kitchen towels, like brown or gray.

  • Look for a pattern that has some texture to it, like stripes or checks, and make sure it's not too busy. A simple stripe is best; if you use more than one stripe, try making the second stripe about twice as wide as the first stripe to keep things balanced. You can also try out geometric patterns or even dots!

Adding candles and lanterns to your outdoor space

Adding elegant and contemporary candles and lanterns to your outdoor space is a great way to create an ambience that's comfortable enough to still use the outdoors even as temps drop.

Warm and cozy candles are a great way to light up your home, especially when you're entertaining guests during the holidays or celebrating milestones with friends and family over dinner. Although they can be used indoors, they can also be used outside if you have an area where it's safe for them (such as on the porch). Candles create a warm glow that feels inviting and cozy—perfect for fall evenings!

Decorative lanterns make excellent lighting options because they're easy to move around when needed and don't require electricity like some other forms of lighting. They offer ambient light in small spaces without being too bright or harsh on eyesight. There are many styles available—from tea lights (which are perfect for indoor use) all the way up through large outdoor lamps with multiple bulbs inside: whatever fits your needs best! If you do decide on an outdoor lamp, make sure it's waterproof so no water splashes onto any exposed parts like bulb sockets or wires; this could lead sparks which could start fires easily due to dry conditions around us now after months without rain."

A basket of pine cones

Pine cones are a great way to add texture and color to any space, whether it's an indoor living room or an outdoor patio. They can be used as centerpieces or just as decor, and they look especially good when arranged in groups on shelves or mantels. Pine cones also make a nice alternative to flowers for wedding decorations because they're inexpensive and reusable (you can use them in another area of your home after the wedding!).

If you're thinking about decorating with pine cones but aren't sure where to begin, here are some tips:

Fall decorating can be fun

Fall decorating doesn't have to be hard. In fact, it can actually be quite simple. All you have to do is start with a few key pieces, and then build on them!

The first thing you'll want is some fall blooms to bring in the season's feel of harvest and abundance. You can do this with flowers that are available now or even fake ones (if they look real enough). Fall leaves are another great way to bring in fall decorating ideas because they're everywhere during this time of year—just make sure you don't sweep up any that haven't fallen yet! If you want something more ornate than just leaves or flowers, think about adding some other items into your home for decoration like pumpkins or scarecrows!

Decorating for fall doesn't mean spending a lot of money though; there are plenty of free ways to add fun touches around your house too! A few examples include: hanging wreaths made from twigs outside windows; adding bits of fabric onto chairs for cushions; painting pictures with leaves as backgrounds instead of canvases...and so much more! The possibilities really are endless here when looking at different ways people choose their own personal style through decorating their homes each year."

One of the best things about fall decorating is that it's so easy! You don't need a lot of money or time to create something beautiful. Just find some pine cones and pumpkins, put them in a bowl on your table, light some candles in your living room and you're good to go!
